I don't know what you did this weekend, but I got email bombed, as in my email got flooded like no weekend I can remember. I'll talk more about the CSIS report later tonight, but if you want to know the value of the CSIS report, it has absolutely nothing to do with the substance of the report.

It has everything to do with what the report inspired. READ THIS IN FULL.

Like I said, grab the popcorn; brew the coffee. It is a very long read, and the best maritime strategy discussion of the summer. It is also some big time inside baseball of the behind the scenes maritime strategy discussion, a read anyone looking to think strategically should study.

I asked CDR, and like me he got multiple copies, and I still got parts of branched discussions this morning. It is widely distributed, so he is right when he says "fair use."

These guys have a product, need to sell tickets, and in general... can make a difference by talking to the American people about strategy. The Navy doesn't do that, so its left to the rest of us.

And yea, I'm hitting that last point this week too, and I'm bringing a full mag with spares.
