Looks like this time it was the Netherlands turn to get really close to the Somali coast. On the 5th HNLMS Amsterdam stopped a Pirate Action Group. The onboard Lynx spotted them and 2 rhibs were dispatched to try and stop the pirates. The pirates didn't obey radio orders to stop so the Lynx fired warning shots, forcing the pirates to change their course to the beach. Here they escaped.
But during the night the rhibs remained in position and observed the pirates. And as soon as the 9 pirates left yesterday morning, the Lynx was also sent in again. As usual the pirates didn't respond to radio orders to stop. And as warning shots didn't help either, the Dutch started firing at the boat instead of in front of it. This forced the men to abandon their skiffs and they swam to shore. Meanwhile the Dutch sank both skiffs.
